The Claremont Senior Center WILL BE CLOSED ON MONDAY JULY 4th. The Claremont Senior Center is open Mondays (except July 4) through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and another afternoon of play began on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. We are also open on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. We have many activities. Miracle Ear, Blood Drive and VNA Foot Clinic will continue as planned.
We’ve launched two options for our meals on Tuesdays and Thursdays – drive-thru PLUS indoor seating. Reservations ARE also required for indoor seating as seating is limited. Tuesday, July 5 — Chicken nuggets, potatoes, vegetables, dessert. Thursday July 7 – Fish, roast potatoes, vegetables, dessert. You must call 603-543-5998 by 10:30 a.m. to reserve your drive-in or dine-in meal. The price is $4 for members and $5 for non-members. Indoor dining service will begin at 11:45 a.m. and drive-thru pickup will begin at 12:00 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. Meals are always subject to change. Guests inside will not be served at the table. Guests will have to pick up their meal at the service counter and return the used dishes to the dishwasher counter. Drinks will not be included at this time. Water and sodas will be available for purchase or you can bring your own drink.
On Tuesday, July 5, we will hold our monthly members’ meeting starting at 1:00 p.m. All members are invited to attend.
Our next foot clinic will take place on July 7th. You MUST call 603-748-1731 to make an appointment with them. The fee is $25.
Blood drive – There will be another Red Cross blood drive at the center on July 11. You must make an appointment at 800-RED-CROSS. Thank you to everyone who can and does donate. Every donation is appreciated.
Bingo — Our Wednesday afternoon Bingo cards are sold between noon and 12:45 p.m. only. We only take ones, fives and tens, NOT twenty. You don’t need to be a member to play Bingo, but you must be at least 55 years old. Last Wednesday (June 29) we had to cancel Bingo because we didn’t have the workers. If you would like Bingo to continue WE NEED MORE VOLUNTEERS, please contact us.
Garage Sale – Mark your calendars because our garage sale is scheduled for July 22-23. We are now accepting donations of useful items. We CANNOT accept major appliances, large furniture, mattresses, luggage, rugs and carpets, clothing, shoes, typewriters, computers, televisions, exercise equipment, skis or anything we deem not salable.
On Saturday July 9, we will hold our first free concert open to the public of the season. Firehouse 6 Dixieland Band will play outside between 6:30 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. Bring your lawn chairs, sit down and enjoy the music. We will be holding another concert on July 30 with the East Bay Jazz Ensemble and August 6 with Bel Aires. Mark your calendars.
