LAS VEGAS (KLAS) – J. Dapper has owned the Huntridge Mall for several years and is hoping to help someone start their business to help revitalize the area.
He’s someone who believes in Las Vegas and downtown Las Vegas. We’re looking for someone who has a few restaurants, a manager and with experience, a chef or cook, ”Dapper told 8 News Now.
The new business would occupy the last space inside the mall while the developer says it will generate more foot traffic for other businesses.
“What we’re looking for in the concept that you submit a menu, information about the person and we want an image like a mood board to see what that would look like,” Dapper added.
Last year, Elliot Chester took a risk by opening this barber shop next door. He says the promotion would help a new owner eliminate many headaches.
“It’s getting busier and busier, it’s nice to see people venturing out from downtown,” Chester told 8 News Now. “Really, this is the opportunity to live a dream. Large expenses are a big obstacle to opening a startup.
To attract more applicants, Dapper told 8 News Now he has other companies looking to lend a hand.
“Our merchant bank, Meadows Bank, they have agreed that the winner will get a bank account with $ 5,000. We have local food vendors who have agreed to fill the restaurant with food, ”Dapper added.
The promotion winner will be selected by their ideas and game plan as well as their food.
Dapper says he hopes the new business will be up and running by early next year.
