The plan is to build a three-story self-storage facility, a multi-tenant office building, and industrial space.
A developer is proposing to split a commercial property in East Farmingdale in two and build a self-storage facility on one lot and a two-story office building and warehouse on the other.
On propertyshark.com, the site is listed as a 159,000 square foot office building with 954 parking spaces available. The office building, called 500 Corporate Plaza, is home to several principles and a quick Google search shows a law firm, Kiddie Academy of Farmingdale, HomeServe HVAC company and security company Securitas at the address. The property is valued at $44 million. It was built in 1986.
The site is across from the Regal UA Farmingdale Theater & IMAX.
The plan is to subdivide the 15-acre property at 500 BiCounty Boulevard, which is located about 150 feet north of Michael Avenue. The self-storage building would be a three-story, 38,276 square foot structure. No other details were available about the office or warehouse.
The request is currently being studied by the urban planning department of the city of Babylon.
