Whenever a game with online features is launched, players tend to expect certain issues to appear on day one. But it’s something that can shut people out of fully online gaming, or in the case of MultiVersusprevent them from logging into the open beta.
As dozens of users on social media have pointed out, MultiVersus encounters a big problem, with players facing a never-ending “Sync Account Status” loading screen when trying to log in to the Early Access Open Beta that went live on July 19.
The game client will download correctly on all three available platforms (PC, PlayStation, and Xbox) and will load correctly until you hit the “Enter the Multiverse” button. From there, the game will attempt to connect to its servers and synchronize your various accounts from MultiVersus uses a Warner Bros. account. Games to compile information enabling cross-play and cross-progression.
During this stage, especially on PlayStation, players have reported getting stuck with various characters running animations while the sync account status notice hovers in the bottom right of the screen.
How to fix “Account Status Sync” in MultiVersus
Player First Games has confirmed to be aware of several issues MultiVersus is underway with the launch of the Early Access Open Beta. This includes some players having issues redeeming their Founder’s Pack purchases and logging into the game.
Now that the developers are aware of the status of the sync account, a fix will likely go live automatically at some point. But since this problem is on the server side, there is nothing you can do but restart your MultiVersus client from time to time to refresh the loading status and see if you can connect to the servers.
