It won’t surprise anyone who spoke to me for more than five minutes, but I’m a fan of Doctor Who. Actually, “fan” is nice. I’m so obsessed with the show that more than one “Who” actor has restraining orders on me.
The main character, the Doctor, is an alien from the planet Gallifrey. His fellow Gallifreyans are a race of super intelligent beings who have unlocked the secrets of space and time travel. But they are also condescending, believing themselves to be the best of all kinds. Emotionally, they are so stunted that Freud could make a living from psychoanalysis. Thus, the Doctor often travels on Earth, through space and time, learning compassion, becoming the protector of the Earth and its inhabitants. In other words, he has the best of both worlds.
For those of you wondering where I’m going, I say, “Shh, I’m making a point. “
