New updates are added at the bottom of this story…….
The original story (published November 9, 2022) follows:
Virgin Media O2 is one of the UK’s most popular telecommunications operators. The company is the result of a merger of carriers Virgin Media and O2 last year (2021).
Currently, Virgin Media O2 customers can access a wide range of products, services and benefits. One of the advantages is the ‘Priority’ program which provides access to offers and prizes.
However, many Virgin Media O2 users are unable to log into the Priority app due to an “Oops, something went wrong” error message.
Virgin Media O2 Priority app login not working (“Oops, something went wrong” error)
According to multiple reports, Virgin Media O2 users are unable to access their Priority app benefits as the login system appears to be currently down.
Priority application o2 does not allow connection for blank media client ????
Same problem, but because I usually log in using Virgin Media, it doesn’t recognize me as an o2 customer?
It seems the problem is happening to those with Virgin Media accounts. That is, customers who had Virgin Media subscriptions before the merger with O2.
@virginmedia @O2 So guys, why can’t Virgin Media customers log into the O2 Priority app/website?
Hi, no the browser doesn’t work either, I’ve seen other people have problems where it won’t log in but it doesn’t seem to register my account at all, I can log into my virgin media account with these details but not priority o2
The issue only affects access to the Priority app. Virgin Media customers can access their Virgin Media accounts without issue.
Fortunately, the Virgin Media O2 team is already aware of the situation and working on a fix. However, there is still no ETA for a fix.
Thanks for the IMac screenshots. We are aware of the issue and our friends at O2 are working hard to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Rather than the app, if you can try the Brewers web version, you should have no problems. Let us know how you get on. -AH

Update 3 (November 17, 2022)
Virgin Media support has acknowledged this issue and said they are working on a fix. However, no ETA was provided.
Ah that’s good. So we know it’s an issue with the app rather than your connection. O2 is aware of this issue and is working on a resolution. in the meantime, hopefully you can use the website to access your priority rewards until the app is fixed. ~CS~
